Today is Family Literacy Day and you happily sat in our reading area and with Alex, Kaden and I ...took the library book 'Frosty The Snowman' and read the entire book to us! And not just once Grace Elizabeth, 3 times! When I started a singalong, I couldn't remember the order of a few of the lines and you proudly said 'Bubba, don't forgot the sun was hot that day'... Oh my GAWD! You are a clever girl Grace Elizabeth! I took pictures of you doing our read aloud and will ask Mummy and Daddy to put them on your website! I am a lucky Bubba!

While visiting with our friend, Alex and his Daddy-Rob ..... you proudly walked, un-assisted to Daddy-Rob, who you so love Grace Elizabeth .... across the nice birch hardwood floor .... 10 steps! Alex and Daddy-Rob watched with delight shining in their eyes ... and Daddy-Rob, you and Alex hugged in joy ..... later when you and I chatted about your sturdy walking I said 'Daddy-Rob and you are friends Gracie' and you replied 'I am Rob's friend' ......

Hello Grace Elizabeth .... I haven't written an update since re-locating to 3 .... 5 Main as you tell your Mummy !! But I wanted to let you know that you have been busy and opnly yesterday, when you visited Jean-Marie .... you would walk between the davenport to his chair ... all the time! Great fun you are having taking maybe 5 or 8 steps between close spaces! Keep trying Grace Elizabeth .... Lots of love, Bubba-Jane Stewart [that's what you say my name is!]

Today when I went to Pre-School to bring you home Grace Elizabeth, I watched you walking toward Tammy's hand, she holds her hand just a titchy bit ahead of your purple-gloved hand ... and you were walking along! All dressed in your purple snow pants, snow jacket with warm scarf and cozy pink hat ... It's such a joy to be able to watch you Grace Elizabeth ... thank you .... Lots of love, Bubba

Gracie, I hope you don't mind, but I wanted to write a wee bit on the chance that other people would be happy to know... Grace Elizabeth has a special working-friendship with 'Tammy' and plays with Tammy every M/W/Fri ... everytime I get the chance to chat with Tammy, there is always something wonderful to tell ... Gracie walked to the bathroom ... or of the helpful little ones in her classroom ... so I wanted to let folks know that among us there is a fairly new-to-us very uniquely skilled and kind-hearted friend in the life of Grace Elizabeth ... welcome Tammy ... from Grace Elizabeth and her Bubba

Grace Elizabeth, in the pouring rain of this afternoon, you, Alex and I donned our raingear and visited the library close to your house ... You totally love to read! You were using the tables in the children's section ... to hold on to and walking! Sometimes you would take a book from the bookshelf and crawl it over to a table, place it on the table top THEN pull yourself upright and guide yourself into the toddler chair! Once in the chair, you would sit and read out loud! A few times I sat at a chair at the table .. and you would read to me! Already you are a 'teller of tales' like Daddy is [he did Fredericton Storyfest] and your Bubba too!!! You identify EVERY letter in the text! One time you saw '!' and when you read the letters, you said 'i' ... then I discussed how sometimes we can say a word a bit louder, with happiness in our voice and that mark lets us ....... Thank you for coming to the library today! Lots of love, Bubba

Oh Grace Elizabeth ..... I just read through the e-mail from your friend, Alyssa .... and I am so thankful that you have special people around you ... indeed, you are 'Amazing' and even today while Mummy and Daddy were at their dancing class, you and I talked about 'Go-Go' Gymnanstics' that you go to every Sunday .. you told me 'I jump Bubba' ... and you show me how you jump ... you are physically getting stronger all the time G-E ... and I have great faith in your abilities just like your friends.... thank you for helping me and so many others reach out .... Lots of love, Bubba

Hi Gracie!! I am very pleased to announce that RBC Royal Bank in Miramichi raised over $1000 tonight for the IWK! Your story really inspired people tonight and there was hardly a dry eye in the house as I told your story. Your strength, courage and SMILE has won many more hearts, you may even have a co worker of mine stop by the store sometime to see of you are there to meet AMAZING GRACE!!!!

This morning 'wee' had a few guests: Eli Belly and her Mummy, Blake and his Daddy, Emily, Gillian and their Mummy ... Kaden you and I .. we were all chatting and finding letters of the alphabet ... in a moment of inspiration, you stood up and said to us all, 'look, I standing tall' ... and then you would let yourself sit down and do it again and again ... a few times you told us 'I jumping' and you were! You were doing a hands and feet upside down 'V' shape to stand yourself up on your own .... lots of walking along the wall by yourself too and the other children went along with you ! Freedom with a capital 'F' Grace Elizabeth ..... Lots of love and thanks for your working ... Bubba

Well Grace Elizabeth ..... sometimes it can take years for people to understand 'inclusion' and acceptance .... but just today your little friend, Kaden .... slid himself into your walker and you said to him '... coming Kaden ...' and you and he both ventured together in your walker! When you worked yourself to the window you let go and walked yourself, unassisted... to the window ledge! Kaden still standing in your walker .... quite amazing isn't it ? after all, you are 3 ... and he is just 2 .... it's just the same ... when we were outside ... you were in your walker, not buckled though ... and nearly 2 year of age Alex ... stands on the back [ground level] bar, wraps his arms around your shoulders and you say '... coming Alex ...' and YOU walk along, with him on back ... better than riding the back of a tricycle little one!!! Inclusivity is total acceptance and you and your little friends have it figured out .... lucky me to be part of your activity today .... Bubba

Well done Grace Elizabeth ..... now when we sing '... we're going on a walk ....' you will be truly walking on your own .... I am so pleased that you have your 'lime-green' 'W' is for 'walker', to be a tool for your body .... keep on experiencing, Grace Elizabeth ... and tomorrow when you come to play and visit with Kaden and Alex .... we will go on a walk!!! Lots of love, Bubba

'Thanks for the great birthday party' Grace Elizabeth !! Loved the ice cream cake ... my favorite .. and delighted to see you walking about in your 'lime-green' walker ... which you proudly told everyone 'W' is for walker ... Everyone was so happy to be part of your 3rd birthday and kept mentioning how great it is that you are 'walking' alongside them! I'm glad you enjoyed your 'ghost cookies' too! Life just keeps getting better Grace Elizabeth :) Thank you for letting me be 'your' Bubba .....lots of love ...

'Gracie's Journey' is the heading on the FRONT cover page of the magazine 'Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation' .... our kind friend, Anthony Wallace ... who made a donation to the Foundation ... receives the newsletter/magazine! He excitedly brounght me his copy ... for which I say 'thank you Anthony' ... and sure enough on the front cover is GE ... and a FULL PAGE write about our Amazing Grace ... or as the article states .... Gracie Girl ... from her Dadda's affection.... a terrifc article that continues on page 4 of the magazine ... of course, being that GE's 3rd birthday is the 31st of this month, I will be donating to 'The Molly Appeal' for Medical research in our Amazing Gracie's name .... don't misunderstand me ... a gift/present for her to open will be on the table ... but what a terrific way to celebrate GE's 3rd birthday ... her FIRST with all the trimmings of cake, hot dogs 'n fries with ketchup [just kidding] ... thank you Grace Elizabeth, for allowing your story to be there ... just like your Dadda did for National Tuberous Sclerosis Association when he was a child.... I am honoured to be part of the success for ALL the tomorrow children .... Lots of love, Your Bubba ....

What a lovely day Grace Elizabeth! When you and Dadda arrived this morning, you brought along your lime-green 'help-me-walk-tall' tool! The wheels move smoothly through the leaves that have fallen on the sidewalk and even when we came to a 'bump' in the sidewalk, well, you were stellar my little friend! Your friends, Aex and Kaden both wanted to try out your new walker. Kaden held onto one side while you had both hands on the side-supports! Even Alex put himself inside the cushion surrounded side and walked inside the 'U' shape ..... thank you for bringing it to our play time today! I am so very pleased for you Grace Elizabeth ... It's your turn to excel! I'll take some film of you out and about with your friends and maybe other little ones can watch and have a go with their own trying-to-walk ways ..... Lots of love Grace Elizabeth, Your Bubba

Well done Grace Elizabeth .... Kaden and I watched you on CTV Breakfast T.V. this morning ... 'there's Gracie' he delcared .. and there you were, pulling off Mummy's eyeglasses .... fussing with her face .... such a free-spirited little girl you are now that you have had your surgery ... and no longer on the array of medications! YOU are a true success story GE ... being able to be exactly like every other little girl your age is ...... Daddy did well, just quietly sitting alongside you girls smiling!!! Such a great family you have Lots of love, Bubba

You are on a roadtrip with your parents 'G-E' .... I went along for the drive to the airport .... you really love your Mummy and Dadda and I am so pleased that you are able to go on airplane adventures ..... you tell me about 'playing with the girls and boys' at 'pre-school' and that you 'go outside too!' ... Dadda went to Playschool and Pre-school and sometimes you and I look at the photographs of him when he was 2 ... lucky little ones to have you in their playgroup! Lots of love, Your Bubba

What a lovely time I had with your Grace ELizabeth ..... visiting The Pre-School Centre .... you and I went there for a wee visit .... there were youngsters who are heading off to Kindergarten on Tuesday next .... you put a dolly in the child-size pushchair and wheeled it about the room! you played with a few of the children and lego's [they are teeny tiny ones and I was / am impressed: you did not put any in your mouth!] ... when they readied for snack, they all scurried to sit on a carpet ... and you crawled over and turned yourself about and sat there too! Delightful little girl you are! I so love you ... oh, I ought to mention that you and Grammie had a grand time when she visited you today too! You and Grammie are so comical together ..... what lucky girls she and I are!!! Grammie is totally 'your' Grammie ... and me, well I am 'your' Bubba !!! Lots of love, see you tomorrow ... Bubba

Grace Elizabeth ...... this morning at Wilmot Playpark, you and Kaden were climbing 'up the ladder' ... yes, you were doing just that! I didn't see you for a few seconds and when I did look, you had your hands firmly around the third bar up .... and your feet both firmly on the second step off the ground! Kaden would say, 'Gracie turn, Kaden turn' then you would say, 'Gracie turn, Kaden turn' and that is what the 2 of you had figured out on your own! At the top .... and I did stand behind your back like I do with the others too, you were saying 'there, I made it' and then scoot over to the slide, turn onto your tummy and slide to the bottom ... saying '1, 2, 3 .... weeeee' and then start over again ... well done Grace Elizabeth .... Bubba and Kaden

Thank you for a lovely day Grace Elizabeth ..... I listened to you reading 'Goodnight Gorilla' to yourself and Bunny ... sometimes you would stand against your bed, leaning into it and turning the pages ... other times you would sit on the floor ... at the library you actually asked 'another stamp on hand' so you could get ink-stamped airplanes on each hand! You are starting another booklet of summer reading ... well done! Your Dadda would take his 'Snoopy' fabric bag with his little books inside, everywhere he went! Mummy showed me how you practice standing up on your parents' bed! I went to hold your hips and Mummy said, 'wait, Bubba .... just watch'! Man, I am one lucky Bubba! Such a groovy day we had, thank you little 'G-E' Lots of love, Bubba

WOW !!! 'Lovely' art this morning Grace Elizabeth ...... not every little girl gets to come to the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and do 'art' ..... thank you for telling us 'yellow ... lovely art' and using the red to mix up with your hands .... that white sticky-stuff is glue ... which you had a grand time with ..... how about having Mummy put some of your creations on your site? Then everyone would be able to view the 'G-E Art Gallery' ..... All for now, Bubba

Grace Elizabeth ....... I had a lovely holiday wity you ..... by the seaside in Bathurst! Do you know that when I was a little girl I too would bury my feet in the sands of P.E.I. You are a wonderful travel-partner! Thank you for the adventures! Bubba

Hello Grace Elizabeth .... I know you are on holiday with Daddy and Mummy .... thing is, I wanted to tell everyone that you are sleeping in a 'bed' ....not a crib!!! It was such a lovely surprise to see you in your toddler-bed Grace Elizabeth ! And you are almost as long as the bed itself! I like that you crawl along the floor, to the bed end and pull yourself up 'tall' standing alongside the edge of the bedend .... that along with the joy of you using your hands and knees/feet to go 'up' the stairs ... life is getting better every day :) That's how it ought to be .... 'Isn't she lovely made from love ...' Lots of love, Bubba

My wee friend, Grace Elizabeth ... today you are sporting a 'boo-boo' on your forehead and upper lip :) I am heart-broken ... and it happened yesterday when you and I were together .... Mummy and Daddy had a picnic-date in the park and Mummy carried you in as you were slightly-asleep but no go! You only slept for a titchy bit ... and I could hear you chatting away ... before long you were crying .... and there you were, sitting on the floor .. you had used the wall to pull yorself up, turned on the light and then must have fallen off Bubba's bed .... you creid cried and then cried ... I cried too. Guess that is the way it goes, now that you are 'crawling' and 'walking' as you tell everyone ... Bubba is still heart-broken .. your adorable face ... Bubba
